Barcelona Airport Transport

The first thing to do when you arrive in Barcelona by airplane is to find your way to the city. The transportation options from and to the airport are different and very convenient and we strongly suggest that you choose one of them prior to your arrival, especially if you travel early in the morning or late at night.
There are bus stations from and to both Terminals at the Barcelona Airport, connectiong them with the city center.

Barcelona Airbus Shuttle:

A1 line goes to the Terminal 1 ( T1) and A2 line goes to Terminal 2 (T2).
As the two lines have different bus stops ( although next to each other ), it is very important to stand on the correct one, so you don`t go to the other airport terminal. The bus stops are located as follows:
Plaça Catalunya - A1 and A2 bus stops are located on the right side of the square if you are coming from the Ramblas
Plaça Espanya - a single bus stop both for A1 and A2 is located opposite to the Palau Nacional

Price:
single ticket: 5.65 EUR ; two-way ticket: 9.75 EUR

Detailed information about the A1 and A2 can be found on the official Airbus Shuttle web-site:
http://www.aerobusbcn.com/

Important notice:
No matter which Terminal you are going to before departure, it is very important to be early at the Airbus bus stations, as there might be a crowd of people also wanting to go to the airport. Even if you can not board the first bus to arrive at the station, a next one will follow shortly and you can still get to the airport in time.

Bus line 46:

The TBN bus line goes from Plaça Espanya to Terminal 1, stopping also at the Terminal 2. The line travels between 5.00 am and 24.15 am.
The 46 bus line is slower than the Airbus Shuttle and it is not recommended if you are running out of time soon. It is however a cheper way to get to the airport and get a last view of the city before departure.
Detailed information about the route and the schedule can be found here:

NitBus N17:

The NitBus N17 travels at night and it leaves from the Plaça Catalunya, stopping on multiple statios to its' way to the Airport. This is a convenient and cheap way to travel from adn to the airport at night.
The bus stop on the Plaça Catalunya square is located near the Ronda University and if you are boarding from some of the otehr stops of the line, it is very important to know the exact name of the bus stop.
The line is part of the municipal transport and you can use the standart multitrip transport cards.
